The Registry
Our purpose in developing this registry is to showcase and document Formula 5000 race cars still in existence throughout the world. In this endeavor, we are presenting a summary of current ownership, major specifications and history of each car. We have also provided links to the owners and other web sites (oldracingcars.com) and (myF5000.com)that can provide a more indepth history of each car.
We also wish to spur owners of Formula 5000 cars to bring their cars to historic racing events and fill racing grids with more Formula 5000 cars, As we approach the 40th anniversary of Formula 5000 in 2008 we would like to see feature races gridded with only F5000 cars. To accomplish this objective, as well as to maintain an accurate registry and account of these cars, we ask our friends in the historic racing community to contact (sebcoppola@F5000Registry.com) and inform us of other cars around the world that are still in existence and not included in this registry.
